TESTIMONIALS
I called KJC Construction to request an estimate for a bathroom remodel, left a message, and shortly thereafter received a return call from a gentleman named Chester. I provided Chester with details of the project and the next day he arrived to look at the bathroom. One day later Chester provided me with an estimate, and within a week Chester and his crew started the project. KJC Construction finished the project in a timely and professional manner and did exactly what was agreed upon. We hope to use KJC Construction for all of our upcoming projects.

Chester remodeled my bathroom for me. He was very knowledgeable and his work exceeded our expectations. I liked that he went through the whole project with us and alerted us of possible issues we may run into so that we knew ahead of time what we could expect. We're planning on doing our kitchen in the summer and we'll definitely be using him again.

Chester was more than just professional, he's a true craftsman who is committed and knowledgeable about a range of projects. I always thought of a fence as just a necessity in the yard, but he built one that actually improves the space with its design and functionality. Guests regularly comment about the beauty and craftsmanship that's apparent in all his work. He addresses challenges and special considerations thoughtfully and does what it takes to finishes on time. We are thrilled with the fence he built and would hire him again in a second.

I found KJC Construction via Craigslist. That’s not usually a good way to find the best worker, but I got lucky when Chester Chang responded. I knew I'd found a good man when he was in absolutely no rush to enthusiastically go over all the details and to offer valuable advice.__The quality of his work and his attention to detail are top notch! It's obvious that he truly enjoys his profession.____ Chester resurfaced my 31 year old laminate counters, which were still very solid, with all-new Formica and new bullnose edges. A few others who responded to my ad were obviously nervous to attempt that, but Chester was very confident and anxious to tackle it. He did an excellent job! That saved me a fortune compared with removing and replacing them with all new counter tops, which other respondents had tried hard to sell me.____ He also installed vinyl plank flooring, installed all new baseboards and a new ceramic tile backsplash. In every case his past experience and attention to detail resulted in a beautiful job.____ Chester made good use of plastic sheeting to protect the cabinets and seal the doorways. Virtually no dust made it out of the kitchen! He graciously helped me to remove the stove and frig. from the room, and to later move them back in place.____ I really can't say enough good things about KJC Construction, because KJC is Chester. His work ethic, his pricing, his attitude and his wealth of experience all came together to make our 31 year old kitchen look virtually brand-new again!____ Chester is more than qualified to do that and much more, such as construction, roofing, plumbing, doors, windows, etc. I have already promised him that he will be my go-to guy for our upcoming bathroom makeover. I have no need or desire to get competing quotes, and that’s a great feeling!____ I highly recommend KJC if you want a real pro who really cares.

Our master bath had a crack and “springiness” on the floor in front of the shower enclosure.
I pulled up some of the tiles and the sub-floor and wood from the shower were SOAKED! And smelled awful!
We initially thought it would need just some tile replacement; we contacted Chester of KJC Construction.
We asked Chester to come and take a look and provide a proposal for the repairs. He did and upon review of the damage he saw, we realized, due to his expert opinion, it seemed to indicate, our shower had been slowly leaking for quite some time, most likely years!
We then contacted our insurance company and 2 other contractors to provide estimates.
We were covered by the insurance (minus the deducible of course) and both of the additional 2 other proposals far exceeded KJC Constructions' estimate in price.
We appreciated Chesters' knowledge and his suggestion (he was the only one) to recommend the installation of The Schluter®-Shower System, which seemed the best way to repair and protect the enclosure.
We also appreciated Chesters' demeanor much more from the other company’s salespeople we met, and felt a better rapport with him.
We chose KJC Construction as our contractor, they started the work and we found that the scope of work had to be exceeded (which was covered by insurance as well) from the original estimate.
Chester provided additional quotes and worked with us and our insurance company to get all the repairs accomplished.
Chester and his crew did a GREAT JOB, were pleasant to work with and be around. Were respectful of our home (used drop cloths to walk on as to not track dirt into the house!)
The work done by KJC Construction was top notch.
We would hire them again, and in fact, have already referred him to friends and our clients several times. We will continue to do so.
We highly recommend KJC Construction and urge all Thumbtack members in our area that may need his services to contact Chester.
